Reorganizing and sharing data from an archaeological excavation
As part of the work carried out by the spoke 6 research team of the University of Milan at the Ischia Santa Restituta archaeological site, a variety of data (some georeferenced) had accumulated over time and needed to be structured and made accessible to a wider audience, not just specialists.
The starting point was an existing database that needed a complete overhaul. The goal of the project was to develop a web application capable of ingesting new data and optimizing the storage and retrieval of relevant information, using modern, open-source technologies.
