Hi,
I am Alessandro Fiori, happy to get to know you. I am a Freelance Database and Internet Business Developer, but also University Lecturer at Politecnico di Torino, Author and Trainer.
Too complicated? In short: I listen to what you want to do, I understand it and help you realize it online, designing or strengthening your presence on the web, on social networks or wherever you need it.
A sort of digital interpreter then, who listens, thinks, and creates tailor-made solutions for you. My motto: “Nothing is impossible”. I am always looking for new experiences to increase both your skills and your business, but also to improve myself. In fact, I always keep up to date with new technologies to provide my customers with the best but also the most innovative solutions. I firmly believe that the quality of the final product is the basis of customer satisfaction.
Experiences
I want to tell you a little bit about my story so that you can get to know me a little better and evaluate my skills.
After graduating in Computer and Systems Engineering at the Polytechnic of Turin, I continued my studies with a doctorate in Computer and Systems Engineering. I also did part of my research abroad at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics in Saarbrücken (Germany). During those years I specialized on data analysis and in particular on biomedical and documentary contexts. I was also winner of the 2011 Working Capital for the ICT category with the project “Web Summaries”.

After finishing my studies I started working at the Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment in Candiolo (Turin) as designer and developer of the information system for preclinical research. I contributed to the creation of the information system currently in use at the institute and then adopted at other research centers acquiring my skills in production process analysis, data privacy, user interfaces and team management.
I also participated in the Cloud Biobanking research project carried out by Dedagroup SpA and Aldebra SpA, with the scientific collaboration of the University of Trento – Department of Legal Sciences and the University of Turin – Department of Oncology. The objective was the analysis of a solution that allows the realization of translational medicine pathways, making the exchange of data in medical research more efficient, providing a service innovation and allowing the sharing of information between different actors not currently interconnected.
In the meantime, together with some friends, we started a startup called deedfactory and we developed several sites, including a cashback site to finance non-profit associations, both a digital photography product comparison site (camerarace.com). So I approached the world of online business, developing site and blog building skills and increasing my knowledge about WordPress, SEO, search engine ranking techniques and results analysis.
In all these years I have continued to train on the new technologies of the WEB, to train at the Politecnico di Torino and at companies and to realize small projects for small-medium enterprises.
After all these experiences I decided that the time had come to make the big leap: to become a freelancer to help individuals and small-medium enterprises to improve their business and especially the technological aspects of their work.
