Carthusian Monasteries in Piedmont

A digital archive for Piedmont’s medieval Carthusian monastic landscape

As part of the PRIN project “The landscape of the medieval Carthusian Monasteries in Piedmont”, I developed the web platform for collecting and sharing information about Piedmont’s Carthusian monasteries — the Carthusian order’s monasteries scattered across the region, with their architectural and landscape history.

The platform brings together historical, bibliographic, and cartographic documentation for each site, including 3D models of the buildings, to provide not just an archive for researchers, but also an outreach tool for anyone wanting to explore Piedmont’s Carthusian heritage without being a specialist.
